Webster Bank Arena

The Webster Bank Arena, which officially opened its doors in October 2001, is the home of Fairfield University men’s basketball program. Connecticut's state-of-the-art showplace is also home to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, an affiliate of the American Hockey League. For over a decade, the partnership between the Webster Bank Arena and Fairfield University has brought top level collegiate basketball to the region. Fairfield brought March Madness to the Arena in 2004, 2008, and 2012 with the NCAA Women’s Basketball First and Second Rounds. In 2006, 2016, and 2017 Fairfield and the Arena hosted the NCAA Women's Basketball Regional semifinals and final. In 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2014 the Arena and Stags hosted the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey East Regional. In addition, Fairfield and the Arena hosted the Bank of America MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship, as all 20-league teams competed for a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
