STAMFORD, Conn.—Despite victories at number one and number two singles (sophomore Monica Yajima and sophomore Sharissa Ryan) the Fairfield Stags were defeated by Fordham last night, 5-2.
Another highlight of the evening was the performance of Fairfield's number two doubles team, sophomore Victoria Pirrello and Allison Radde. Playing well for the first time together, the pair played fearlessly, but eventually fell to the Fordham team of Angie Dabue and Bella Genkina 8-6.
The Stags next play Feb. 4 against Hartford at 7:30 pm at the Solaris Racquest Club in Stamford, Conn.
