Fairfield University senior men's lacrosse player Greg Downing was named First Team All-ECAC as voted by the league's eight head coaches. It marks the second straight season that Downing has been honored with First Team All-ECAC accolades.

The senior finished the 2007 campaign with 27 points, good for third on the team. He tallied 20 goals, a number he reached in each of his four seasons, the second best total on the team this spring. Downing also dished out seven assists, good for fourth onthe team.

In his final game, a home win over St. John's, Downing netted two goals, becoming just the fourth player in program history to reach the 100 goal mark for his career. He finished with 101 career tallies. He also graduates 10th in career assists, with 40. His 141 career points ranks him fifth in the varsity history of the program.

Downing helped the Stags to a 6-6 mark this season.
