The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team will host non-conference foe North Carolina on Sunday, April 15 at noon on Lessing Field. Prior to the contest the Stags will honor the lacrosse club team of 1987, which posted an undefeated 11-0 record.

One of the team captains was Hugh Coyle, who was inducted into the Alumni Association Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005. His fellow captains were Mike Ronzoni and T.J. Hargen, while Mike Hone served as the club's president.

The quartet helped lead the Stags club team to the regular season New England Club Championship.

Team members will be honored at a pre-game ceremony, at 11:40 a.m., on Sunday.

The current Stags are currently ranked 19th in the USILA Coaches Poll, released April 3. Fairfield will play at Georgetown on Saturday, April 7, in an ECAC Lacrosse League game. The Stags are 5-2 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
