Men's Lacrosse Opens Home Schedule Saturday Against Dartmouth

The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team (game notes) begins the home portion of its schedule on Saturday, March 1, hosting Dartmouth College at Alumni Field.  Both teams opened the season with wins and are 1-0.

The Stags used an overtime goal from ECAC co-rookie of the week Doug Kuring to defeat Providence on the road, 7-6, last Saturday.  Kuring finished the game with three points, while Brendan Finnerty and Travis Nelson both scored twice in the win.  Joe Marra made five saves in earning the win in goal, while Sean Fay won two-thirds of his face-offs in the game.

The Stags moved up two spots in this weeks NEILA Poll, to fourth place.  Th Big Green are second in the NEILA poll and are receiving votes in both the USILA and Nike/Inside Lacrosse National polls.

Tickets for the game are available at the gate one-hour prior to face-off.  Adult tickets are $5, seniors and youth $3 and groups are $2.
